Working with firebird

  • Working Style. Firebird is a collective organization that seeks to foster creatively stimulating, non-hierarchical collaborative relationships between artists in different disciplines. We work ensemble-style, building on our recurring collaborations to form lasting creative partnerships that evolve over many projects. We try to cultivate a space that is welcoming, friendly, professional, and creatively fulfilling.

  • Compensation. All staff positions are paid, generally according a project-based profit-share model. This means that the more a given project makes, the more all the staff is paid. We do not currently have openings for any full-time positions.

  • Schedules. Many staff positions have a remote/asynchronous component. Synchronous hours for rehearsals, meetings, and techs usually fall on weekday evenings (after 5pm) or weekend days (before 4pm).
